| The HBA of NENC is a dynamic group of local
builders and associate members who share the same mission – to
provide safe affordable housing for everyone. From our builders to
our tradesmen, our real estate brokers to our bankers, our goal is
to protect the building industry, for the benefit of its members,
and for the protection of home buyers.
Our monthly meetings
offer opportunities to share thoughts, ideas and concerns with
others in the building industry. Through the various networking
opportunities available you will not only make valuable business
connections but you will also gain the knowledge and support of
others in your industry. HBA of NENC contributes to the economic
growth of each individual member. Your local association plays a
key role in helping maintain consistently higher industry
standards of conduct, quality, and ethics. If you are a home
builder or a supplier to the industry, the representation you
receive from the HBA of NENC through its affiliation with
NCHBA and the
NAHB is vital .

Locally your HBA is
governed by a Board of Directors comprised of 14 builder and
associate members elected by the general membership. All of our
Directors serve on a volunteer basis with the exception of the
Executive Officer who is a paid part-time staff member.
Meetings of the general
membership are held the third Tuesday of each month and begin at
6:30 p.m. at Montero’s Restaurant in Elizabeth City. Members are
notified in advance through our monthly newsletter, on our web
site, and through e-mail (if member’s e-mail address is provided).

Our mission is to
educate our members and the public, promote professionalism and
ethical behavior within the industry and the county, and provide a
large variety of member services.
